Can I see a particular GP?

Once you are registered with us, you will be allocated a usual GP, this is for registration purposes. You can request an appointment with any of our GP’s however you may find a longer wait for a specific GP. You can make this choice online or with our reception staff.

How do I order a repeat prescription?
I am a new patient, how long will my registration take?

It usually takes up to 24 hours unless it is a weekend or bank holiday.

How can I find out about which holiday vaccinations I need?

We offer travel advice and travel injections which are part of our NHS provision, however we don’t run a travel clinic.

The NHS provision vaccines are:

  • Hep A (adults)
  • Diphtheria polio tetanus
  • Typhoid
Can I have access to my medical records?

You can have access to some parts of your records may be accessed online to: Some parts of your record may be accessed online with your NHS online account or via the NHS App.

If you do not have access online then you will need to make this application in writing. You will be given a consent form to complete. We aim to complete your request within 21 days. but it may take up to 30 days.

Your GP may refuse your request, if they believe releasing this information may cause serious harm to your physical or mental health or that of another person.

What is an E-referral?

Your GP may have referred you to a specialist. This referral will have been made on the E referral system. The E-referral system allows you as the patient to take control and choose which hospital or clinic you prefer and helps you book an appointment directly. You can self refer by requesting a referral.

How long does a referral take?

Once a GP has let the secretaries know about the referral request, it can take between 3 to 5 days. If the referral does take longer it is usually because of delays in paperwork or test results.

Why do I have to pay for some NHS services?

A NHS service is provided free at point of use. However some services are outside the general medical services contract. Those services are provided on a private basis. An example of this is a taxi or HGV medical exam. This is accommodated by our GPs through non-NHS time so is therefore chargeable.

Do you have car parking available at both sites?

We have on site car parking at no cost at our Green Road Site.

There are ample pay and display car parking spaces at our Woodley site.
